Oh, just a bit more.....I'm on a roll!
Look how telling this post is about Sirin's state of mind, and the deep insecurity that must play on her mind night and day:
"I would guess that some people might find Judith's question a bit blunt - but I think it's the sort of question we shouldn't be afraid to ask, as long as we're willing to accept the answer.
I can think of another lady from these forums who split up from a Turkish man, and went on to be happily married to a man from another country. And after splitting up with my Turkish ex, I can understand that people were cynical when a few months later I ended up with another Turk. But life doesn't always unfold as you predict it might.
Yes, sometimes people are attracted to similar situations due to repeated bad judgement, but sometimes I think it also means that you know better what to expect."
To start with, look at the very SNEAKY way she tried to give Judith a slap on the wrist! lol " as long as we're willing to accept the answer."
That was one of Sirin's sly, sneaky threats - the ones she's so fond of doing. She's doesn't say EXACTLY what she wants to say - she IMPLIES - often with an underlying threat of "if you don't toe the line my girl you'll be banned!"
Of course, Judith's response to Ladylook hit a very raw nerve with Sirin, and that's why she became rattled. She knows full well that the opportunist, Oz, was sniffing around English Girlfriends of Turkish Men - BECAUSE HE WANTED A VISA BRIDE. If he really had of been a well-to-do, gadget loving playboy - he would have been OUT in Istanbul fishing for a woman! He wouldn't have been fishing for one off his computer! One who he could only see if he got a VISA. There's thousands of beautiful, young, modern Turkish women who are very westernised living in Istanbul (and Oz DID want a westernised woman didn't he?!) so why wasn't he out in the clubs out there, flirting with them and taking them back to his gadget-filled pad? I'll tell you why. Because, firstly, that flat did not belong to him - he rented that for a few weeks (all part of his plan) Secondly, he didn't want a Turkish woman - because he wouldn't need a UK visa to date one of them would he?! And thirdly, his interests in sex lay elsewhere. His big plan was to escape his family and country, hook a gullible British woman, get stuck into a better-paid job than he could ever find in Turkey, improve his CV - squirrel away a large bulk of his salary into his Turkish nest egg account - and invest in a property for the future. But the best part of all - he can live the life of a bachelor gay over here - without his family ever knowing what he really is. He couldn't do that in Istanbul (too risky) but he can over here.
He's actually hit the jackpot with Sirin. She's pliable, accepting, and goes along with whatever he wants. She's too scared to question him - doesn't even know how much money he sends back to Turkey each month - and that's another oddity : if his family are supposed to be wealthy (according to her, Oz's father owned that apartment in Istanbul - the one they NEVER go and stay in! lol) then why does his father and all his family live such a modest lifestyle in a sparsely furnished, poor-looking apartment in a cheap suburb outside Istanbul? That doesn't add up does it?! She must be as thick as her waist if she really believed that apartment was Oz's - especially when the meanie checked her into a cheap (but clean hotel) when she flew over there for a shag.
I bet Oz rubbed his hands together when he discovered Sirin had her own house over here (albeit a cheap one) He soon got his grubby hands on that didn't he? OK, half of it then. I actually think he's quite happy with the way things are. He's got an investment in a house (and he's in no rush to sell up yet - he couldn't, anyway, property prices have plummeted in the Wirrall since they moved) but anyway, he's got a nest egg for the future, and he's made sure there'll be no patter of tiny feet (strange he told Jan he didn't want children 'just yet' - and now her clock's almost stopped ticking I bet he's ecsatic).......but he goes out regularly seeing his 'friends'.. he's got a better paid job than he'd ever have in Istanbul...and his family will never discover their son has 'leanings'.
So you can see why Sirin is so unhappy and discontented. She's being used. And she's too scared to do anything about it. She will bitterly regret all this one day - when she's sat there alone like a lonely spinster with no children or grandchildren - just a strange, detached Turkish 'hubby' who she hardly sees. Oh, she may have a cat for company.....actually, she never mentions her hairy cat anymore..I wonder if Oz forced her to rehouse it?
Quickly back to Sirin's post......
"I can understand that people were cynical when a few months later I ended up with another Turk. But life doesn't always unfold as you predict it might."
Duh! Well, I could have predicted that, Sirin! I could have predicted that you'd have ended up with another Turk; and do you know why I could? Because you were sat stuck on your fat arse in the Chatroom on EGOTS every single night for about TWO years, and it was only a matter of time before a Turkish visa-hunter popped up in there!! You donut!
Finally, as for THIS crass remark:
"Yes, sometimes people are attracted to similar situations due to repeated bad judgement, but sometimes I think it also means that you know better what to expect."
If people are repeatedly attracted to shits, and repeatedly make bad judgements - isn't that more the reason they should be guided AWAY from the next mistake?! And for Sirin to end that pathetic statement with " sometimes I think it also means that you know better what to expect." Oh, well that's alright then! You know you're going to be taken for a ride (again!) but because it's happened before, and you know what to expect, it makes it ALL OK!
She's absolutely insane!
