    Hi
Back from the cruise I mentioned couple of weeks ago.
Thanks for the infoby the way.
It was fantastic and we'll definately do it again, my husband was well smitten and it wasn't Turkey! Ha ha.
However....the head waiter in our dining room section was...yes..Turkish! There were 6 Turkish crew as well. Husband found a Turk in every port of call, honestly! Even a guy doing gambling tricks on the street in Barcelona and a kebab shop in Malaga.

Home to hear MIL has got her visitors visa, so panic for flights and she's coming this week. affraid She's flying back with us on the 10th Sept.
A busy 3 weeks in store

    Hi Cazzy,

Oh I'm so glad you had a great time - I knew you would! I don't know one person who hasn't had a fantastic time on a cruise!

I bet it was lovely waking up each morning to different countries - did you have a favourite? I've heard that the entertainment on cruises is always good, too, and you often get well-know celebrities singing etc....

Out of interest, what did the stars look like out at sea? I've heard they look fantastic, and I'm really into starlit skies (actually, I'm very into astronomy, too - I find it fascinating)

Anyway, I'm glad it went really well....and I bet the food was fab! How about the drinks? What sort of prices were they?

So now you've got your MIL coming over! I take it it's her first trip? Oh, I bet she'll love it - it will be a lovely experience for her. Sounds like you're having a real fun time - enjoy!

    Hiya

Strawbs - hi, yea you're right, the stars looked so clear, now you mention it! The moon was lovely standing on the deck looking out!
The food was out of this world, even the snacks through the night were good. The buffet restaurant, the choice was unbelievable and the main posh restaurant was fab, the menus were wonderful, half a stone weight gain here I come!! You just presented a special card at the bars and it went onto the system with a bill at the end, in dollars so it wasn't as much as it looked! Some drinks were pricey but others on par with a reasonable class pub. Well we brought £300 back and Yil won 300 dollars in the casino so not that bad! Soft drinks were on tap all the time and ice cream!
I think Barcelona was my favourite, beautiful and the architecture. The apes made Gibralter, it was pretty and cheap (tax free) but The monkeys made it for me, I had 2 on me! They tell you not to scream or wave your hands at them and just tip your shoulder when you want them to get off.
Ibiza Old Town was lovely but we hired a scooter to nip over to San Antonio, Yil's been but I wasn't impressed! Bit of a dive if you weren't clubbing. Malaga & Palme were beautiful too. Photo taken on the posh night with the captain.

Sal - hi - I had one 'iffy' time when I woke up and we were obviously rolling a bit! I took a pill but they take time to work and I was better out on deck. Not bad though, not sick or anything, just iffy.

it sounds fabulous, Cazzy! I knew you'd love it - everyone I know whose gone on one has raved about it. I don't think the seasickness is too much of an issue is it? I'm sure the ships have stabilisers, so unless you're in choppy seas I don't think you'd notice it much? That's what I've been told, anyway. I actually got seasick on a cross channel ferry once! Embarassed But that was an old ferry - not a luxurious cruise ship - and there was a gale going on, too!

Your cruise sounds wonderful, Cazzy, and the trips to Gibralter etc must have been lovely.

I bet you can't wait till your next trip!
