Get Well Soon, Tracy

Hi Tracy,

Hope you recover very soon from your op!

Just to let the members know, Tracy had her gallbladder removed yesterday. Brave girl! She texted me after they brought her up from recovery to say it was all over and done with - but she'd been down there for 3 hours! Hearing THAT has made me even more reluctant to have mine removed! Oooooh! I'm actually a little jealous...........I wish I could pluck up the courage to have mine out!

Anyway, I'm sure everyone who knows her on here will wish her a speedy recovery, and no more gallstone attacks for YOU, Tracy!!!!! Phew!

Terrible thing the gallbladder when it flares up. Ouch.

Ouch, Mary?! Haha! I'd rather give birth to a giant ball of barbed wire! When I had a stone trapped in my bile duct I would have happily let them put me to sleep!

Oh I'm so glad to hear that Tracy finally got around to going through with it - I know it had played her up for a long time.

I hope she makes a very speedy recovery.

Just to let you know, I spoke to Tracy today and she's feeling OK - but it still very sore. Apparently, her gallstones were the largest her surgeon had ever seen - and he kept a few of them for himself. I don't think he's swallowed them or anything (medical research and all that ) they'll probably be photographed and become famous in their own right. They were also an unusual shape, and they can be viewed on her Facebook. I have yet to take a Valium before viewing, but I'll have a peek later!

But she's on the mend, and she's in good spirits. She will post up soon, anyway - and she's really glad to know we're thinking of her.

Thanks for the update Strawbs. No matter how she feels at the moment at least she knows it's all behind her now and that she can only get better. It must be a huge relief for her. And a feather in her cap too to know that she's done her bit for medical science with those prize gallstones of hers!
