We used to have a very nice lady who was very knowledgeable about visas and appeals, who helped a lot of our members, but she was stalked by some really evil people, who twisted everything she said and said a lot nasty, unnecessary things about her on their own sad,sick forum so she stopped posting on open forums.

Anyway, If I remember correctly, she said that provided you've got the evidence of being in a genuine marriage and meet the other requirements, there is a good chance of winning an appeal.

Oh I know the forum you mean Sunny, They only have a few members who are damn right nasty and because they haven't got anything to say they have had to resort to looking at other forums just to find things that they can tear to pieces. All rather sad as I believe some of them are old and past it and really should know better.

I think the worst thing they do is tell lies about people they have never met, incredible isn't it and sadly we lost a valued member because of the stalking and lies. It is said that actually there aren't really any members only one deluded woman who runs the site who is pretending to be the other members. I don't know if it's true as I can't see the site in Turkey any more because the Turkish government banned it because it was so vile. Anyway they all seem to be so very bitter and twisted on there and I can't see any sane person would want to join it.

When I think of that forum the picture below comes to mind.

I think I know the forum you are talking about. Those women are really vile the way they talk about people and did you notice they keep bumping up really old posts about that lady you were talking about sunny really boring keep going over the same old things again and again. They dont have much to talk about except posts on other forums that they poke fun at and make nasty comments. Another nasty thing they do is to call the turkish partners of there victims t**ds . realy racist . Im not surprised the forum was banned in Turkey.

Thanks for all your wishes and advice - have tried to contact the lady you mentioned Abi so hopefully she will let me know. Today I sent off the appeal by post as the online one wouldnt let me complete it, along with dozens of photos, emails, cards, bills, letters from my family and friends and also from work. Fingers crossed this will be enough as I really dont see what else I could give them. According to the appeal website it says they aim to respond to me in 10 days with an appeal date so hopefully when I return from Turkey I will have some more info in the post.

The more I think about it tho the more angry I am.......I cant believe they are implying I am some sort of criminal who married someone just so they could get a visa. Once this is resolved I am definately going public and complaining about the way the case has been conducted....but only once hubby is safely back here with me

I browse all the sites and belong to a few of them under different names due to this sort of backlash you get from rival sites. I am sure some people will recognise who I am but I never say anything untoward about other members so I have nothing to be ashamed of. I know all the history and I am disgusted with how some people can gang up like a pack of wolves when it is perfectly clear how underhand and dangerous some of these so called dogooders really are beneath that fake veneer. I am mortified to read what the moderators have written on the site over the road. I don't care if they are just ignorant or just in the dark but they really should know better and should wind their necks in. Theres been a lot of damage done already and all that has come out of this latest episode is how biased and blinkered those moderators are and how they are so prejudiced. Considering how easily taken in they are I would be very worried having them throw their weight around. They are a liability.

Firstly I have to say that what they have posted is absolutely disgraceful, they have the audacity to slag off this site and then coerce innocent and vulnerable women to take advice from a woman who clearly has severe issues in her own personal life. Strawbs has made some very salient points in her posts, and actually, if it wasnt for the fact that two innocent women have been murdered, I would find the above post farcical.

Abi, you state 'I believe some of them are old and past it and really should know better'. This is a case of the pot calling the kettle black, the mods who do choose to post their photo up on your site are not exactly 'spring chickens'.

For clarity to baykus and all others, Turkish Chatters IS NOT BANNED IN TURKEY. As you appear to spend your entire days and nights guarding Ken's 'friendliest' Turkish site, you should be at least a little bit computer literate. Therefore, as you find the posts here so riveting, here is a little IT lesson for you all.

Go to the top of this page and you will see the icon 'home', next to the home button is another icon called 'portal', click on portal and scroll down the right hand side of the page, you will see 'statistics', 'forum' and 'who is online?', click view the whole list and you will see which countries are online, Turkey often shows up as being online. There is a permanent stalker in the USA, in fact, a couple often show up there - its not rocket science to guess who they are

Sirin hides under aliases with a woman named Linzee. Linzee has set up several sites, Breeze was openly advertised on TL, the sweet members of TL would then sign into the private room of Breeze and stir the cauldron pot.

Back to these other sites, Linzee has had numerous sites closed down in the past, and Ken your God has even been made a fool of himself when they 'held his post up as a trophy' last summer. Worse still, these women lifted a photograph of my grandson which I am sure is 'still doing the rounds' - how sad is that, and what type of woman would want to place a photograph on myself and my innocent grandson on her imageshack? I had to complain to imageshack and the picture was immediately removed. The addy name of the woman involved in this disgusting act is Truth giver which I am sure you will agree is rather a contradiction.

So TC Mods and Ken, what are your thoughts now? You should all be hanging your heads in shame, or do you endorse that type of behaviour and still want to recommend your members to a bunch of cyber women who gang up together on private sites and call innocent children bastards (as in the case of Strawbs grandchild)?

Its bad enough the way TL encourages women to throw away 1,000's on futile trips to Turkey to meet God only knows who, they fall in love with an Avatar photo, just like Reyhan has.

I will leave you with this thought, how will you all feel if there is another Mikki incident?

As I understood it, "Turd" was meant as nothing more than a shorthand term for Turks and Kurds - the first two letters of the former and the last two letters of the latter. I suppose there will always be people out there who will twist things for their own personal agendas though, and those who will pick it up and run with it.

Given that most members here either have a Turkish or Kurdish partner and dual heritage children, or a child who is married to a Turkish or Kurdish man and have dual heritage grandchildren and inlaws, not to mention homes in Turkey and Turkish neighbours and friends too, it seems to me to be beyond crass to suggest that anyone here is racist.

As a member of this site, I for one, find it deeply offensive to be branded racist by a bunch of high-minded cyber randomos who know nothing whatsoever about me, or my life. Particularly when I have been happily married to a Turkish man for years and have a half Turkish child, wider half Turkish family members and numerous Turkish inlaws and friends who are all very dear to me. These people have no idea just how offensive and upsetting their thoughtless and ill informed comments are.

A blind man can see that the people who allege racism against the members of this site are simply doing so in an attempt to sling as much mud as they can at the people against whom they've held personal grudges for years. It's both sad and shameful that they have to stoop to using such scurrilous tactics in persuing their personal vendettas.

It really does make me wonder what on earth makes these people believe they are so morally superior to the people they are seeking to judge.
