Just to let you all know that my baby grandson was born safely on Monday morning 5th November at 9.40am by Caesarean section. The little one weighed a healthy 7lb 12oz and is absolutely gorgeous, he will almost certainly be a Long Beach boy when he grows up
My daughter is recovering very well, her husband is still recovering and is as well as can be expected
The Turkish in laws are in their element, they have taken so much pressure of me and have taken great care of all the family as Turkish families usually tend to do extremely well. Dont want them to go back to Turkey in January
One really strange thing that happened in the hospital was the anaesthetist came to visit my daughter the day after the baby's birth to ask her some questions on the spinal anesthetic which was used during the birth. When he had finished his questions, he closed his clipboard and immediately starting having a coughing fit, to the extent that he collapsed onto the floor going beetroot red and pulled my daughter's table containing a jug of iced water and a bottle of lemonade on top of him. A load of midwives rushed in to help him up and the cleaner was called to mop up the iced water. When my daughter told me this I absolutely roared with laughter, just imagining the scene I find it hilarious, but then I do have a really weird sense of humour, anything which other people find upsetting or disturbing I get a knee jerk reaction to laugh hysterically about.
I will be back again soon with more posts, so take care ladies and catch up with more news very soon.
