    Hi Jamren,

    Welcome to the site.

Sounds like you have a wonderful story to tell us!! Very Happy Be our guest!

Can I ask just one thing? Why do you refer to your husband as your 'fella'?

    Strawbs
    Hi strawbs
Erm,no reason really, jst used the same term as pol.
My husband is from Adana .but we met in hisaronu.my first holiday to turkey Smile
Started off as friends, kept intouch when I came home.took an other few trips back there.thats when I realised that I actually loved him, more than a friend.didnt tell him how I felt incase he ran a mile.i need'nt have worried though.he took me to the beach one day.told me he loved me and wanted to marry me.im a bit older than him nothing mega though.i already had two children.
But non of that botherd him or his family.he brought the kids up as his own.and we have two daughters as well now.
I could of easily fell for a love rat and not have known it.i count myself lucky that I found a good one Very Happy
    How bout u strawbs ?

No worries at all Jamren! I hope you decide to hang around because you will never meet a finer group of ladies. I'm still amazed that they stood by and helped me when I was at my lowest point and didn't want to listen. I can honestly say may joy has returned .. something if you asked me in October I would never have believed it.

    Hi strawbs
I'm not sure how to explain scratch which part it was.
The London was at the top end of the strip( up a lil hill) there was a restraint opposite called Ali,s,I think.
There was another hotel:bar a bit further up called eddy,s.
Sorry I'm so vague but it has all changed over the yrs.
I met a lovely woman named jackie who lived at eddys apts.
So when Serkan was working I'd be out site seeing with her.or just lazing round the pool.

No I didn't live there No

    Hi Jamren,

I don't really know where you mean..........

Which end of Hisaronu was it? I possibly know it. I lived out there (on and off) for two years, so know the area very well. Which other places are you familiar with out there?

    Hi Jamren,

Sorry for the late reply (been busy working behind the scenes)

Is there a fairground now in Hisaronu?!

I do remember a small area where they had a little Big Wheel thing; which I first noticed in about 2006/7? It must have expanded!

The 48300 area code was the same as mine - I think. It looks very familiar...

So when did you last go to Hisaronu? I haven't been for ages - must be five years now! Mind you, I never really went much into Hisaronu - we used to live in Ovacik - and at day we'd go down to Olu, or drive out to some other place....and in the evenings we used to mainly go into Fethiye Town. Occasionally we'd go into Hisaronu to visit Time Out after we'd eaten in Fethiye, and we'd have a few drinks and a dance - watch the karaoke!

    Happy days!

The fair ground in hisaronu is only small and opposite all the shops.
We stayed in olu deniz last sept but visited hisaronu most evenings.
We have booked to say in ovacik for 2wks in July. Only ever been through on the dolmus.
Sounds if you had a great time living in ovacik. Defiantly happy days Smile

    Hi Jamren,

Unless it's changed there's not anything to do in Ovacik - it's mainly residential with just a few hotels/bars/restauarants. Unless you're staying in a hotel with all facilities, or renting a villa with a pool, I doubt you'd want to stay in Ovacik all the time.......

When we lived there we used to go down to Oludeniz or into Fethiye itself - in fact, in the winter we used go into Fethiye almost every day, really. Ovacik is quiet in the summer, so you can imagine what it's like in winter! It is very picturesque, though. Actually, Hisaronu is dead daytime, too, isn't it?!
