    Queen Fest Tonight on Sky

Post  ruby on Sun Jan 08, 2012 9:54 am

Well as most members know I am a huge Queen fan and tonight on Sky, channel 156, they have had a bit of a Queen Fest.

Freddie Mercury an hour long programme from 9pm, then 10pm Days of Our Lives. Of course I have seen these documentaries a million times over, but I never tire of watching them. As I have said before, I have met loads of people associated with Queen, I have a personalised birthday card from Roger Taylor (wonder if I will get one off him when I celebrate my 100th birthday in a couple of years Laughing Laughing Laughing )

In my opinion, no other band in the world can top Queen and no other singer can ever take Freddie's place.

I think I should apply to Mastermind and my subject would be Queen lol!

What are other members favourite bands? Please, if you are a Cliff Richard fan, I would not mention it on here Embarassed

    Hi Rubes

Here is my favourite bands list:

    Led Zeppelin
    Coldplay
    The Killers
    Queen
    Kings of Leon
    Santana
    The Beatles
    U2
    Sting
    Aerosmith
Ah, and I have to sneak in Black-eyed-Peas as well flower

Locally I love Johnny Clegg and Juluka for their blend of Afro-fusion sound and Freshly Ground because they do kinda of the same but the lead singer Zolani Mahola has the most unusual quirky voice. Oh and I cannot leave this person out she is not a band and shes relatively new on the music scene.....but for those of you who might like jazz and jazz fusion, Esperanza Spalding is a phenomenal jazz bassist with an incredibly haunting and soulful voice.

    Hi Honey and Nicks

I too like the Black Eyed Peas, and Nicks, you have certainly got a wide variety of bands, I am surprised your eles didnt clear off hearing the heavy metal music.

Must admit, I do love rock music, but Queen are in my heart I love you and their music simply is irreplaceable.
