Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Halloween Empty Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Halloween

Well as we all know there are a few knobs around. As for broomsticks, well it appears that Halloween has brought out a member of the broomstick brigade Laughing complete with Jobs Worth Cap Laughing That reminds me, does anyone remember Esther Rantzen's show 'That's Life' where they nominated a 'Jobs Worth' of the week and awarded him a JW (oops now their's a Freudian slip) cap. Shocked

I completely forgot about Halloween and had to rush out to Tesco and purchase a bag full of chocolate biscuit bars as they had a BOGOF on them thinking the kids would love them and being pre-wrapped, I could just dish them willy nilly.

Well just after 5pm some neighbourhood kids knocked on my door to 'trick or treat', I gave them the choccie bickies and then the cheeky sods asked me for money as well. Shocked What is this world coming too? These kids are so upfront these days, not content with a choccie bar they want money too!

What experiences did other members have on Halloween?

I give the kids sweets on halloween but would never give money, I only give money to carol singers. I think its cheeky to ask for money on halloween :shock

I had some call round and they looked about 18 when I peeped through my hole! didnt open the door to the sods. cheeky buggers!

how much did you give them Ruby? silent

    Hi Pip

I never gave them any money, I told them to xyzxyzxyzxyz and have a nice Halloween Smile

Next morning the sods had dropped the wrappers on the path outside.

You had trick or treaters around 18 years of age, well I think I will definitely go Carol singing next month study

    Hi Ruby,

Where I used to live, one year a group of children aged about 13 knocked at my door and said "Trick or treat?!" So I said "Trick!" and they just stared at me all gormless! Laughing I used to just give them 50p or something, but we don't seem to have many round this way. None, actually.

Didn't see any witches, either - flying around on their brooms!
