What a Sirin Trip.............. Empty What a Sirin Trip..............

Post  Admin Wed Jun 29, 2011 6:35 pm

Oh! I found this random post - I have no idea who sent it! I'm posting it up, anyway.......

    This is all it said:

"My Hubby and I are off to Turkey in just over a week (for those who don't know, we're the ones who met in the chatroom of English Girlfriends of Turkish Men after we hung around in there every night for a year. I still swear it was fate that we met!!) Anyway, we're visiting his family in Darica (Kocaeli area, nr Istanbul), though I won't be seeing hubby's dad (AHEM!!) then we're off to Cesme.

Looking forward to exploring an area we haven't been to before, even though it's STILL Turkey. But I'm a Kebabist, see, and so far I've holidayed in Icmeler, Side, Ovacik and we even had our honeymoon in Stinky Tinky! Oz pushed the boat out there he did! Aaw he is soo generous!

I wouldn't swap having Oz here for going back to long distance (not for anything!), but I do sort of miss the days when I used to get to go to Turkey a few times a year! Oooops, I forgot! I only did long distance with Oz for about 6 months - it must have just seemed longer! Haha! But I did fly over 3 times to get to know him - twice to Istanbul where we stayed in a nice (but clean) back street hotel (AHEM!!) and the third time to Ovacik - where he proposed to me in his sleep! Amazingly enough, he'd already bought the engagement ring - it's only a plain gold ring - but who wants diamonds, eh?! Not me! In fact, had Oz bought me a brilliant sparkling diamond I would have made him take it back! Waste of money! All precious jewels are a waste of money as far as I'm concerned (and I am not jealous of women who have big ROCKS! Grrrrrrrrr!) I think diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds are ugly - they're not my cup of tea! I'm a plain band girl, me!

Oh, I've gone on a bit there....I nearly forgot to add that I volunteered at work to go to Ankara for a 4 weeks; this was 3 months into my cyber relationship with my cheekie chappie (now a Hubby) So that was handy - it was so easy and cheap to meet up. Oz was very pleased about that; it made things so easy for him. Cheekie sod!

All those trips to see him.......I don't know how I afforded it either! Though some of it did go on a credit card occasionally..... not good really, but when Oz came over there were 2 incomes to pay it off - well, after he eventually got a job 6 months later. Of course, even though Oz was a Turkish engineer I couldn't expect him to pay for my trips to go and visit him! He didn't earn much money, you see, even though he was an engineer. Did you hear that? He was (and is) an ENGINEER!!! He's not a Civil/Flight or Marine Engineer - but he's still an ENGINEER!!! But a badly paid one (I think?) Terrible isn't it! So he couldn't pay for my flights (even though they were dead cheap flights) and it took me about one year to pay that credit card bill off for those THREE trips to see him : twice to Istanbul and one holiday to Ovacik.. Hang on.......I must have spent MORE than £100 approx for each of those 3 flights if it took a YEAR and TWO salaries to pay it off! Gosh! Oh, of course, I just remembered.........even though it was ME that flew over to Turkey to see HIM - I STILL HAD TO PAY FOR MY HOLIDAY!! Gosh, I hear you say! Why didn't my chekie chappie engineer pay?! Well, I'm not sure how much he was earning (but I don't think it was much) and when he used to get his little purse out of his pocket - the one he kept his coins in - I didn't like to ask how much he had in there. I still don't, actually! I don't know how much money he's got in his bank account, but he is VERY CAREFUL with his money - and he makes sure waiters don't get a PENNY too much in TIPS! He once scolded me for leaving 10 pence TIP too much on a saucer, so he swiftly picked it up and put in his little clasped purse, before the waiter had a chance to collect it. He's a cheeky sod my Hubby is!

Back to when I used to go over to Turkey more than just ONCE.A.YEAR..... I think when I used to go over there, the flights were definitely cheaper. I used to pay around £109 per flight - sometimes you could pick up a bargain of £79. These days it's nearer £200, and all the extras added on. Not that we splash out mind you. Oz will NOT buy any drinkies on our cheap charter flight, but I always pick up a small bottle of pop once we're airside, and I swig that from my bag (AHEM!!) It's funny really, cos even though Oz won't spend a penny more than he really needs to, and we always go cheap (airline/hotel etc) I sometimes dress up Barbara Cartland style for the flight (wearing full slap - thick green eyeshadow, thick clumpy mascara, thick panstick, thick rouge etc) and I have a nice sequinned top which looks flashy (makes up for no diamonds) and with me beret and feather boa I look the cat's whiskers I do! I think it's an event flying to Turkey once a year, so I like to get made up for it, and as it's only once a year on a cheap charter I am going to surprise Hubby and book us the VIP lounge in Manchester! Whoop whoop! Of course, it's not the proper VIP lounge, and it's not the First Class Passenger lounge - but who would want to fly first class, anyway? Not me! I'm happy to go with the plebs and play at being a VIP in the £15-a-go lounge .... oooh, I come over all unnecessary when I walk in there! And do you know what Hubby does? He fills up his little flask with drinkie-poohs from the bar! Cheekie chappie! And we can swig that on the plane! Hehehehehe.

But I miss the old days (4/5 years ago - SUCH a long time!)... then it was so much cheaper over there....... 2 million lira for a soft drink (80p), you didn't have to worry about the price of meals (or rather, I didn't) and handbags and clothes were so cheap that you used to take over a half empty case and buy it all over there. It's a bit different now! If the prices then were like what they are now, no way would I have been able to have bought meself a Turkish Hubby! Even one with cheap tastes like Oz. A few people have asked why a cheekie engineer couldn't afford to splash out a bit, but Oz didn't earn that much in Istanbul. It's not England you know! Besides, he likes to economise, economise, economise - and he loves keeping his money in his bank account. He's a squirrel. Sometimes he'll suggest we go for a Happy Hour meal (two for the price of one) but we have to get in there before 5.30 p.m. - so it's a bit of a dash - but we always do it! Maybe Turkey will start doing special meal deals in Cesme? I hope so! Hubby balks at CHEAP prices - so he'll probably go giddy and have a faint if the prices are a SHOCKER!!!

I know..... I sound like such an old fart. And I am. I am a smelly, fat old fart. I think that's what attracted Hubby to me in the EGOTM Chatroom. He didn't want someone high maintenance! Heavens!

Back to you lot... don't know how some of you manage it. I was fortunate to be able to go over a few times a year - I just bunged the cost on my credit card. And I don't think I could have kept up a long distance relationship only seeing someone once or twice a year - ooops, I forgot again! Oz rushed off to North Cyprus for his vizzzzzza after my THIRD trip out to see him - why do I keep forgetting that?! I MUST be an OLD FART!

Hats off to those of you that do - and chins up...... if you get there in the end, it will be worth it. You'll be able to take your Turkish Hubby for a special meal deal in the Harvester in The Wirrall! Way-hay! cherry

    Love Sirin & HubbyOz

    Good morning Strawbs

Your post is so accurate, with the exception that she is NOT just the Manager, she is the bloody OWNER. Shocked

Ha ha. Whoop whoop. Pathetic childish TL speech. What is the mental age of these members? Maybe 10? Thats why they are so mentally challenged and still wet behind the ears when it comes to relationships with Turks/Kurds aka Askim.

Yes, I do recall Birol from Sports Inn, Icmeler. In fact, he was a member of Turkish Toyboys Can Damage your Wealth and the resident OAP Manager (Mandy G from Shropshire) AKA Angie and her equally senile but sexually active friend Ellie egged on and encouraged Birol to spill the beans on that relationship. Sad really, as Birol could hardly string a sentence of English together, it was very difficult to decipher just exactly what he was trying to say. Probably, 'piss off OAP's, I no want sex with you'.

Those pair were/are a dirty old pair of trollops who shagged Turkish lads in Marmaris as young as 16/17. I have had a close encounter of the third kind with Mandy and she certainly thought it was a meeting out of this world after I had finished tongue whipping her on her doorstep, an encounter that very quickly prompted her to close her seedy site, not to worry, I copied the majority of the posts whilst biding my time with that old whore.

Uuughhh!! Just how smug and patronising is that last message of hers? She's the limit.

Yes, I remember old Seftali trying to get Jan's first Turk Birol to spill the beans on their relationship. It's true, he could hardly string a sentence together in English so the chances of him spilling any beans (that you could understand at least!) were pretty limited I guess.

    Hi Judith

Just after closing Turkish Toyboys can Damage your Wealth, Mandy and Ellie set up Turkey without any Trimmings (TWATS) and rightly named too. She changed her name to Seftali and we all know what Turks identify a Seftali with, and thats a pussy Very Happy

Seftali for those who dont know is a peach, and that brings me onto another rude word, peach means bastard. lol! Seftali = bastard Laughing

    Hi Judith,

I don't know why Sirin feels smug! Haha! She's got absolutely NOTHING to be smug about! Shocked She is incredibly patronising, though, and I think she does that to bolster her feelings of inadequacy. She's got a lot to feel inadequate about, and she uses members who are complete twats as a kind of yardstick to measure her own worth.

I remember hearing that her first Turk (Birol) could hardly string a sentence together; yet she was in a LDR with him for some time! Shocked I wonder what their MSN conversations looked like?! Razz Do you know, I suspect she still secretly fancies him. After they split up (she never said why they did - AHEM!!) she still kept her little introduction up on EGOTM about her being with Birol blah blah blah.......and that stayed up there even after she married Bouffant. I've also noticed how she sometimes makes references to Birol (almost as though she's reminiscing) so he's still in her mind..........

Of course, Birol was MUCH better looking than Oz is - and he didn't fancy men in frocks, either. So despite him not speaking English, and despite the fact he worked in tourism, he was a whole lot sexier than Bouffant is. I think Jan's frustrated. I also think she's very, very bored. She actually said she doesn't see that much of Oz - they do their own things a lot of the time - and even when they are at home together they spend hours in separate rooms doing their own thing. That's not normal is it?! I bet it's Oz who insists on having his own space - it wouldn't be her choice. He gets on his computer soon as he's in the door, and they 'meet up' in the lounge later in the evening. How weird! Oh, and she said he has his own set of friends who he goes out to meet....AHEM!!

Someone told me they thought he was doing a course at nightschool, too. Another string to his bow for the future - if that's true. He's a sly one, he is. Fish a Brit off the net; marry her for VIZA; get a good CV and experience; invest in a property for the future; send money home each month to Turkey......and that's strange! Why would he be sending money home to Turkey? She said he told her his family were well-off! That's a lie. His family are poor. I've seen the pictures of them in their home, and you can see they've got no money at all. They live in a very basic, sparsely furnished flat. Yet according to Jan, Oz owned his own gadget-filled apartment in Istanbul - which is why he booked her into a cheap (but clean) backstreet hotel! Haha! He never owned an apartment in Istanbul! That was a big fat porkie pig He told her that to try to make it look like he wasn't after a visa, British Passport and dosh! Oh, and then he made out to her that, actually, his FATHER owned the apartment - and now he was seeing Jan he'd slung him out! Well, Oz's father lives in a basic sparse flat in a drab area outside Istanbul - so no way does he have a flashy gadget-filled apartment in Istanbul! Haha! That flat was rented - and it's obvious why he did it.

I bet she was ever do disillusioned when she discovered the boring TRUTH!

She has to take the medal for the worst adviser .....ever!

Read between the lines and what do you have? According to Sirin its ok to spend money you don't even have to get it on with a man, go crazy flying over to Turkey as much as possible with a helping hand from credit cards and for the plebs that only finance one or two trips per year your relationship will struggle as she knows she wouldnt be able to do it. Twisted Evil

Now for a good few of the members that are struggling with bills etc, and they might not have much money to live on let alone to become jetsetters, Now they might just listen to that stupid woman and put themselves in a hell of a lot of debt after reading that!

And remember once your dream man gets to you you can then pay off your bills as you will then double your income. She must like to gamble. Shocked

Love the recent fantasy about him being a home owner when she met him. Laughing

Double income? Most of these women find that all askim is interested in doing when he gets here is finding work so he can finance his family back home, or stash it away for himself. She'll be lucky if he bungs her £50 here and there to help out with bills.

As for Jan not knowing how these women "do it" conducting long distance relationships, well frankly, I don't now how she does it being intimate with a man who lists baby lotion among his grooming products. Eeewwwww!!

I thought Oz likes men in frocks, I don't think he dresses up in them himself. He has to be a homosexual, theres just no way he would have a fantasy over a man in a frock if he wasn't a homo. It is sad really that Turkish homo men have to go to extremes, it must be hard to live out there if you are that way inclined. I feel sorry for them specially that they marry someone they don't love just to escape. It's sad then at the same time its not really nice for the woman being deceived like that. I watched a programme about men who made out they were staights and got married to save face, some even had kids and then the wife found out the truth and the blokes never seemed regretfull or bad for what they done. Its a cowards thing to do, they should tell the truth. Evil or Very Mad

There's fat chance of being stuck next to that bunch of plebs, THD. They all fly cattle class with the cheapest airline they can find. Usually Pegasus - that awful Turkish airline. I would imagine Mr Bouffant & Mrs Bouquet will think Thomas Crook are upmarket! lol She probably booked the plebs 'VIP' lounge too! lol

I never have time to stop when I get to the airport may be a quick drink but not much else. The farest I've flown is Turkey but I think you have to check in early if your going long haul and I know a few people who book the exec or some people call it the vip lounge for that. It works out cheaper with all your free drinks and food so I would book it for that if I was flying far away long distance and had to hang around the airport,it's money well spent but I wouldn't bother for a short flight like Turkey when I was only gonna be in the airport for a short time, it's pointless. What I would really like to experience just the once is flying first or club I would love that, it must be a different world Cool

Hi Ruby, I don't think the first post was very fair of you. To stereotype EVERYONE on TL as being stupid is just not on as this is then pointed at me. First I do not know any of you, on here or on there and find you quite offensive really. I mean surely not every member on TL has pissed you off personally, I know I haven't anyway.
I am no way wet behind the ears when it comes to my marriage, I have been with him for over 11 years and have 3 children with him, and sometimes yes I do think I'm a bit mental lol, but with all respect it has nothing to do with you if I am. Has anyone here slagged you off personally Karaboga1? They haven't as far as I'm aware.

You are quite welcome to be a member here as well as a member of TL, no one here will turn a hair. However, if you choose to be a member here you will have to put up with what gets posted here, just as we all do, and just as you do on TL. If you see something you don't like, I'd say just challenge it. We're not sheep here all baaaaing to the same tune and everyone's varying opinion is welcome. It makes things far more interesting.

We are all aware that there are a small handful of sensible people who are members on TL. Maybe you are one of them? We have several of those people as members here too and they don't have any problems being members of both sites. The key is not taking any criticism of TL that they read here quite as personally as you have. I was a member of both TL and this site for years and never had a problem.

Contrary to popular belief (and you will no doubt be told this soon if you haven't been told already) there are a lot of silly tales peddled that the members here are bitter and twisted women who have had bad experiences with Turds. The reverse is true in fact, most, if not all, members here are women who are in very long standing relationships with Turds and have families etc.

One thing I will say is that you will find that the thought police (i.e. management of TL and associated cronies) will take an extremely dim view of your membership here so if I were you I'd expect a PM or two pretty soon to warn you of the perils of membership.

Anyway, welcome. Looking forward to your input if you choose to stick around.

Everyone's different. Some people simply don't care enough to take it personally, while others do. I never have and never would. Both this and TL are just internet sites at the end of the day. They don't matter in the grand scheme of things.

I suppose it's the same as some women getting incredibly offended when they see stories about other women getting turned over by a Turd in Take a Break. They get really hot under the collar and take it incredibly personally on behalf of their partners. I never have because I simply don't identify with it and what goes on elsewhere has no bearing on how my husband behaves, or the relationship we have.

As I said, everyone is different.

If they really wanted to stay in a little bubble they shouldn't post anything on the net. Plus I can promise you the People that run that site are doing that too. And if not they are planning much much worst things ie: Gemsgirl

Dont you ever have any thought's about the members after they post things that make it look like they are being used? or worse are acting stupidly, recklessly, or are in danger of putting the children in a risk due to the men that they seem to be all dove eyed about.

I personally couldn't sit on a thought for long if i thought a woman was putting herself in some danger, emotional, physical or financial. and like most mothers my thoughts go to the kids in those relationships too.

    Hi Tina,

That's so true what you say. I think it's appalling the way they sat back and watched as JW bleated on about going to Turkey and leaving her daughter behind without telling her what they really thought of her grossly selfish actions - they should hang their heads in shame. It also sickened me when Sirin congratulated Ladylook on the outset of her second doomed relationship with a visa-seeker who 'popped up on her computer screen'. Her first one was Turkish, and the second one was a Tunisian. It was obvious that the woman had severe self-esteem issues and needed guidance; yet Sirin ENCOURAGED her to 'go for it'! And she likes to 'hint' that she's a counsellor?!!! Oh FFS! She's very, very disturbed - and should not be allowed to advise ANYONE.........

Yes, Karaboga1, you haven't been on TL long have you? If you're normal yourself I'm sure it won't be too long before the penny drops and you see what we mean. Time will tell.
