    Barbaric Turkish Army Medical Practices

For those UK women/mothers who are considering giving the gift of a Kimlik/Dual Nationality to their UK half Turkish son, please consider that by going ahead with this decision you are ensuring that he will have to complete military service if he visits Turkey when he is an adult.

This revolting and extremely cruel operation was endured by my relative who had his tonsils removed whilst serving in the Turkish army WITHOUT ANY ANAESTHETIC. He was placed in a dentists chair, his arms, legs and head were strapped down almost like what you see when being positioned in an electric chair, a block of wood was placed in between his upper and lower teeth and the 'surgeon' then proceeded to perform a tonsilectomy without any form of pain relief. He lost a lot of blood and went into a coma. He had no say in the operation proceedure whatsoever as you cannot answer back or refuse, your only choice is to obey.

What he found surreal was that all the time this was going on there was a radio playing in the background and the surgeon was singing along to the music. How barbaric is that? And they say the Turkish army makes a man of you.

So before praising the virtues of how proud you will be for your son to undertake his army duty and honour will be bestowed upon the family, remember, your son may be brought back in a body bag, whether through an unexpected medical operation or some other tragedy.

Why any sane, rational and caring mother would want to see their son do this is beyond me.

I can only assume that the women who say that they do are of the breed who want to do everything and anything they can to please their "hubby" and his family. The needy, desparate types who totally lose their identity and take leave of their senses when they become involved with a Turd, such is their desire to fit in and be accepted.

In short, the JennyWrites' of this world who for reasons best known only to themselves, put men before their children.

My husband is Turkish and it would be over his dead body that our son did military service in the Turkish army. After 11 years the Turkish authorities don't even know our son exists and that's the way it'll stay unless our son decides himself that it should be otherwise.

    I agree

Plus there could always be the men that demand their child is Half Turkish for his own reasons ie: to make removal of child back to Turkey if relationship breaks down easier or a very strong sense if patriotism and thinks that their son should serve militery service.

And The woman just will go along with it and in her very eyes she feels she should follow her husband wishes and most likely doesn't want to think of any negatives and thinks in the back of her mind that they will be able to buy out son from army if it comes down to that. But who knows what will happen in the future and if she will even be with the husband at that point. And the poor boy will have that hanging around his neck like a noose.
